Mylar Double Sided Adhesive is a mylar substrate with heat activated adhesive on both sides.
It’s perfect for making hinges for rudders and ailerons.
Properties of this material:
Cut to shape for hinges.
In this example the mylar is heat pressed with a hot iron directly onto the balsa aileron.

Below is an example of sandwiching the Mylar between 2 pieces of thin balsa and applying heat to activate the adhesive.

Example of how the mylar adheres to balsa with heat.

The mylar can be pealed off with some force if pulled up away from the surface. But if forcde is applied horizontally the bond will be too strong to break.
