Holiday Notification: MicronWings will be on holidays from 2nd October till 12th November. Order processing and delivery for Australian customers may be delayed during this period. Dismiss
Skip to contentUpdate: MicronWings will resume shipping to the US in the second week of November.
On the 29th August, the US suspended the de minimis exemption for low-value imports and introduced tariffs. As a result, Australia Post as well as other international delivery services from Australia to the US stopped delivery services to the US and Puerto Rico.
Recently, a US appeals court ruled that the tariffs issued by US President Trump were illegal. In a 7-4 decision, the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit deemed these tariffs to be “invalid as contrary to law”. This ruling will not take effect until 14 October. However the Trump administration has indicated that this matter will be taken to the Supreme Court for a final decision.
If the tariffs are abolished on 14th October MicronWings will be able to send goods to the US without tariffs and other fees.
However, if the tariffs are upheld then MicronWings will resume delivery of orders to the US and this will happen in the second week of November. Orders sent to the US will be subject to tariffs and processing charges and MicronWings will need to charge customers for the tariff amount as well as a 3rd party fee for import clearance. We will have more information in the near future.
