This is the FRSky D8 version of the MA-RX42. It features an on-board 5 Amp brushless ESC instead of a brushed ESC. Please note that this receiver can not run a brushed motor and there is no option to connect an external brushed ESC via CH1 (CH1 is hard wired to the on-board brushless ESC). The position of the CH1 port on the board has been replaced with CH5 instead.
The receiver also has the ability to be set up for dual aileron operation by bridging the pads shown below with solder. After doing so, the CH5 port acts as the additional aileron port. Dual aileron functionality can also be achieved using the aileron port and rudder port and your channel mixing function on most transmitters.

Binding
The receiver will enter bind mode automatically 15 seconds after the battery is connected and the LED will blink rapidly. The receiver can then be bound according to your transmitters bind functionality.
Connecting a Brushless Motor Brushless motor wires can be soldered directly to the solder pads on the receiver board. Note that you will need a soldering station with a needle tip as well as good soldering skills.However, you may prefer to solder connectors to allow for the easy swapping of motor wires to change the direction of rotation of the motor. To do this follow the proceedure below. |

1. Remove the connector plugs and pins from a 2mm Micro Connector (Product Link) | 2. Bend the stem to 90 degrees and trim the off the excess length. | |
3. Solder as shown here with the middle connector on the opposite side of the board. The ensures separation. | 4. Solder the matching connector pins to the motor wires and cover with 1mm heat shrink. (Heat Shrink Link) | |

Dual Aileron Functionality
Although dual aileron functionality can be setup by channel mixing on most transmitters, this receiver offers the option to bridge two pads with a solder joint and turn the CH5 port into the second aileron port.
CH4 and CH5 now act as dual aileron ports.
